Doll companies and distributors sell dolls sometimes blank or full set. Most of the dolls on the list today are going to be blank. When a doll is blank that means it is just the doll with nothing else (not even a faceup). For more information on BJDs please check out my article “What’s a Good Beginner BJD?”

Places to buy the dolls from:
There are several options for people to consider when buying BJDs. You can purchase direct from company or you can buy them from distributors. Distributors will have contracts with several companies and they will order the dolls for you and send them to you when they arrive. Today we will look at some distributors that offer some affordable 1/4 size BJDs.

What companies make affordable dolls?
I would like to clear the air and state that most people will lead you to Bobobie or ResinSoul. Don’t get me wrong, they are FANTASTIC companies and I own several dolls from them. Bobobie and ResinSoul also make incredibly affordable dolls at all size ranges too! However, I wanted to show you that there are other companies as well that are currently out in the market that make affordable dolls too!
MYou Doll
MYou is being sold at several distribution sites. The amazing thing is that the price differs at each site.
JunkySpot Sells MYou Dolls. The offer the big baby line as well as some of the regular 1/4 scale dolls. They have a few on their site and the benefit of ordering from them is that all their dolls on their site are in stock. This means that you will get your doll in pretty quickly. They are based out in California so depending on where you are you could get it as early as a few weeks!
Currently on the site they have some on sale so make sure to check them out and snag one before it’s gone!
Legend doll sells MYou Dolls and right now they are being priced at around $227. All of these will be blank and are just the doll. The great thing about getting budget dolls is that by buying a more affordable doll, you will have more money for accessories. Legend Doll is based out in Japan so be aware that shipping may take a while.
Up next is Alice’s Collection. They are based out in China and always have amazing deals. As you can see they currently have a sale with 15% off! That brings their MYou Dolls to $192. The only thing you have to keep in mind is that shipping is a waiting game. They have great deals but sometimes take several months for items to come in. I ordered some clothes from them in March and it is now currently June and the order still says processing. That is already 3 months of waiting. So be prepared to wait.
BJD Divas also has Myou Dolls listed and you can purchase them at $227.00.
True Love
This is also another new company to me. I do not own any dolls from this company but their prices are also hard to beat. Legend Doll sells them for $195.00 and offer a large variety of dolls from their company.
Akagi Doll
Currently they are being sold on Alice’s Collection as well as Legend Doll’s site. However you will see again that distributors will vary their prices. On Legend doll you can see the have April for sale at $275.00 while on Alice’s Collection they are having a sale and all of their Akagi dolls are 15% off bringing them to $228.65.
Only Kids
Next up for your consideration is Only Kids. They offer some interesting fantasy pieces and can be found on Legend Doll. Currently they are being sold for $199.00. You can also get these dolls with a faceup, body blushing, clothes, shoes, and wig all for additional costs.
Angel of Dream
Angel of Dream is an oldie but goodie! They are actually being sold on both Alice’s Collection and Legend Doll. The interesting thing is though that Legend Doll sells them for $15 more!
Asleep Eidolon
Another lovely company that I have heard great things of is Asleep Eidolon. They also make it within our $300 dollar budget and can be found on Legend Doll. On Legend Doll’s site they can be found for $255.00 and a few listed at $195.00. They make some gorgeous looking dolls and are worth a peek.
Impldoll
A company that is also very well known is Impldoll. They are being sold both on Legend Doll and Alice’s Collection. They have a great variety of dolls with fantasy sculpts as well! There are price differences as well between the sites. Alice’s collection has 1 doll that is priced at $188.00 and others listed at $208.00. Over at Legend Doll they are being sold from $208.00 to $228.00.
ALM Doll
Alm Doll offers some really interesting dolls and several that are with a circus theme. Alm is being sold on both Legend Doll and Alice’s Collection. Currently, Alice’s Collection is having a sale and they are %15 off! Legend Doll prices them at $195.00 and Alice’s Collection sale price is $181.05 (but regularly $213.00).
Mystic Kids
A favorite of mine is Mystic Kids. They make great dolls that can pose and look fabulous. They are being sold on Junky Spot, Alice’s Collection, and Legend Doll.
If you want one fast I suggest looking at Junky Spot. The have them on sale too right now for $201.00.
Legend Doll has them for $199.00 and has a variety to choose from. Again note that these are not in stock so ordering from them will take some time.
Alice’s Collection is having a sale and they are 10% off bringing their price to $179.10. Not a bad price as long as you can be patient and endure the wait time.
Honorable Mentions
Denver Doll Sells Luts dolls and their Kid Delfs are within our $300 budget. For a blank doll with no bells or whistles it is $232.00.
If you want to dip your toe into vinyl dolls there are some that are very affordable at this size. There is a 40cm body you can get from Parabox for about $200.00. Note that you have to buy a head separately. There are tons to choose from so make sure you get one that fits and that you like.
