Hello BJD friends! I am ready to jump into the year 2021! With the new year comes some new goals I would like to fulfill for myself in this hobby.
Goals for the Blog:
I want to get back into writing some blog posts and draw more of the BJD Life Comics. I really do enjoy making content that is helpful to those who are new to the hobby. I also want to provide information to veterans in the hobby and make my site a resource for all.
Visiting more small business shops I think would be great to. I want to be able to highlight other places for people to shop for their dolls other than just Alice’s Collection. There are so many talented people out there and I think we could really support each other. If you own a shop that makes things for BJDs please let me know in the comments section down below!
I would like to write more articles that cover simple DIYs that people can try out for themselves. I know I might not be the craftiest person, but there are some easy things I have learned over the years that I would like to share with other BJD peeps.
Goals for YouTube:
When it comes to making videos, I really have fun doing silly and comedic things. In order to get more content out I would like to start up a fun series I did on Twitch a while back called “Dolly Talk Tuesday” I would literally get to jump into anything for this series and would stream it. I will be doing “Dolly Talk Tuesdays” on my YouTube channel live at 8pm CT. If you have any suggestions of things you would like to hear about/discussion on, let me know in the comments section down below.
I would also like to see if I could do more interview videos too. Maybe I could interview some shop owners or BJD makers. It’s fantastic seeing all these new artist made dolls popping up and I would love to talk with makers and learn more about them and their inspirations.
Goals for my doll crew:
My dolls all share clothes but I still don’t have enough for everyone to have complete sets. What I mean by complete sets is that they have a top, bottom, wig, eyes, socks, and shoes. A lot of my dolls still need shoes and socks. So a goal for myself this year is to complete those dolls that are missing items.
I would also like to make some kind of dolly database of my current dolls. Maybe I will make a book or something with their names, sculpts, and when I got them.
How did 2020 go?
I think it was kind of a bummer not having conventions, not getting to meet my friends in real life, and not being able to host anything in person.
However, it did open time for me to start looking at small business and order things from different shops. I got to purchase a lot of clothes for my dolls and I even got several wigs too!
Being forced to stay at home let me continue this blog, and got me back into make more videos. I felt so inactive and I am so happy to be back in the community.
2020 could have been a lot better, but I think I made it work for the best that I could.
How did your year go? Do you have dolly goals for 2021? Let me know down below!
