There are so many different BJD sizes out there. There is different terminology involved in this hobby so I hope this guide will help you understand the BJD sizing a bit more.
What are the sizes?
There are 3 main sizes for BJDs.
- 1/3 or sometimes referred to SD: Typically 58-60cm in height
- 1/4 or sometimes referred to MSD: Typically 42-45cm in height
- 1/6 or sometimes referred to YoSD: Typically 25-27cm in height

BJD wigs
Wigs are measured off the circumfrance of the BJD’s head. They are also measured in inches. It is very important that you know what size wig your doll takes because there are so many different sizes. They are also made of different materials. Some are made of faux fur, synthetic hair, alpaca, or even yarn.

- 8-9 inch
- 7-8 inch
- 6-7 inch
- 5-6 inch
- 4-5 inch
- 3-4 inch
BJD eyes
BJD eyes come in many different sizes, styles, and are made of different materials. There are some with stems (which are like a little stick at the back), stemless, half dome, and full dome. They can be made of acrylic, glass, silicone, urethane, etc.

BJD Clothes
